Contemproray documentary theatre focuses on reality and reflects it by a huge variety of performative forms. Performers, "experts of the everyday life", but rarely actors work with texts based on factual, "true" and sometimes historical events. Or they make their own biographiy the material of examination. The performers resemle witnesses who report about an incidence in trial. A particular relation with the audience is built: the reported reality becomes a matter of confidence.

The book "Documentation, fake, reality" is based on the Basel Documentary Platform 2013.
